Wilson Combat, an Arkansas-based manufacturer of firearms and firearm accessories, is introducing their Upper Receivers available in Flat Dark Earth, brand new for 2014. Chambered in .300 AAC Blackout and forged from 7075-T6 aluminum alloy, these uppers have a low profile gas block and a bolt carrier assembly with an NP3 surface finish. In addition, they come with Wilson Combat’s Accu-Tac Flash Hider, a three-prong device which uses external accurizing flutes to improve muzzle harmonics, dissipate flash and minimize muzzle signature without sacrificing accuracy.
There are two variants of Wilson Combat uppers available in Flat Dark Earth: the SBR and Recon. The SBR has an overall weight of three pounds, two ounces, while the Recon weighs four pounds, two ounces. The barrel to be used with each upper is 11.3″ for SBR, and 16″ for Recon. It comes with M4 style feed ramps and features a 1:8 twist rate. The manufacturer suggested retail price for each upper receiver in Flat Dark Earth is $1,250. See below for additional details.
