Ready to go out of the box, the 3 TACTIX EED features a Picatinny attachment and plates for Glock MOS and RMSc. Additionally, the top-loading battery design allows for fast battery replacement without removing the optic.
Riton Optics Delivers a Closed Emitter Optic with the 3 TACTIX EED
Constructed of a 6061-T6 aluminum housing, the 3 TACTIX is designed for use on both rifles and pistols. Featuring a Picatinny rail attachment, the optic also includes plates for Glock MOS and RMSc footprints. Additionally, the closed emitter design resists dust, moisture, and impacts for use in adverse environments. Likewise, the IPX7 waterproof rating allows the optic to be submerged in 1-meter of water for 30 minutes and still operate.
However, the 1.14-inch height, coupled with the 1.73-inch length, might make it a bit large for concealed carry. But the tradeoff comes in the 21.8mm x 15.8mm objective lens diameter. As a result, you get a large viewing window for rapid target and dot acquisition.
Housed within the large viewing window is a 3 MOA red dot projected on the second focal plane. The dot adjusts for windage and elevation at 1 MOA per click with a total adjustment range of 90 MOA. Featuring a fully multi-coated lens, the lens is waterproof coated and delivers full wide band and low light enhancement.
Boasting approximately 50,000 hours of runtime at the lowest setting, the 3 TACTIX features a top-loading battery design. As a result, you can swap the battery without removing the optic. However, auto-off and shake-awake functions help to preserve the battery life when not in use but ensure it is ready when needed.
