The Ruger 10/22 is one of the most customizable and flat-out cool .22’s on the market. For this reason, there is no shortage of companies making upgrades and accessories for the platform. And now, Franklin Armory partners with .22 trick shooter 22plinkster for a Special Edition of its BFSIII 22-C1-P binary trigger.

Based on the popular 22-C1, the 22-C1-P comes in a billet aluminum trigger housing. With the trigger components already installed within the housing, the 22plinkster edition is ready to drop into your Ruger 10/22. Likewise, the drop-in installation process only takes minutes, and you are up and running.
Compiled within the aluminum housing are all the functional parts of the three-position binary trigger system. So, just like the 22-C1, the 22plinskter edition houses all three positions:
- One: Safe
- Two: Semiautomatic
- Three: Binary
If you are unfamiliar with binary triggers, they double the fun of any available platform. In binary mode, like any standard trigger, a single round is fired when the trigger is pulled. However, unlike standard triggers, another round is also fired when the trigger is released. But you can easily switch back to position two for standard semiautomatic operation.
To prevent a round from firing on trigger release in binary mode, the BFSIII has a cancel feature. Simply keep the trigger depressed and move the integrated selector switch from binary to the “semi” or “safe” position. You will then be able to release the trigger without a round firing. However, always keep it pointed in a safe direction (preferably downrange) before releasing the trigger.
Commemorating the Special Edition, the housing has a 22Plinkster logo on the right side. Likewise, the left side and bottom of the trigger guard feature “22plinkster Edition” in a handwritten font.
