There are now 11 different versions of Charter Arms’ .44 Bulldog available. Aside from the 3-inch-barreled Classic, six of the company’s other versions come with 2.5-inch barrels in either blue or stainless steel. The common denominator are the revolvers’ heavy, non-tapered barrels with their integral ejector rod shrouds. These models also have fixed sights and black rubber combat grips.
Subtle variations include a spurless hammer DAO version, a model with a green finish and black stripes, plus one with a laser sight grip. The newest version is the Target model, which has a stainless steel finish, a 4.2-inch barrel and a fully adjustable rear sight. The big news for 2015 is a 50th Anniversary version featuring engraving and a gold inlay on the frame.
