According to the press release, the Umarex NXG APX — which fires .177 pellets or steel BBs and has a barrel length of 20 inches — boasts an automatic safety as well as an ergonomic and impact-resistant stock. Meanwhile, the grip is designed with a narrow curve perfect for small-framed shooters. Its multi-pump action and easy-load pellet ramp is suitable for right and left-handed shooters, and it shoots projectiles at a velocity of 800 feet per second. In addition, the NXG APX has an adjustable rear sight and fiber optic front sight which enables the end user to quickly zero in on the intended target. To mount a scope on the Umarex NXG APX, simply use its integrated Picatinny-style scope mounting rail system, which — according to the press release — is “another first in youth air rifles that provides a positive lock down to keep a scope on zero.” See below for additional details.
