FNS-40 Long Slide
FNH USA has taken one of its popular models and given it the long-slide treatment for 2014. The FNS-40 can now be had with a 5-inch barrel, giving the pistol an overall length of 8.25 inches and an empty weight of 29.7 ounces. The FNS-40 Long Slide is the result of five years of development and over 400,000 rounds of intensive testing. It is striker-fired. The longer barrel not only enhances cartridge performance, but allows for a greater sighting radius, and the double action (DA) provides plenty of user safety.
A mating of polymer and steel, the FNS-40 Long Slide comes with interchangeable backstraps for better shooter fit, plus the front, back and sides of the grip frame are finely checkered to help control recoil and muzzle flip in rapid-fire shooting. The frame’s dust cover has an integral accessory rail and the front of the trigger guard is serrated. The magazine catch and slide release are ambidextrous and there are no external safeties.
