AmericanSnipers.org is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing assistance in terms of operational equipment for United States military snipers currently serving overseas. It is a volunteer group comprised entirely of active and former local, state and federal police snipers, as well as snipers from various of the United States military. Formed in 2003 and originally known as the Adopt A Sniper program, AmericanSnipers.org has continued to grow over the years. It currently supports snipers and designated marksmen from over 150 different platoons in the United States military.
Each year, AmericanSnipers.org conducts raffles and releases a series of patches, coins, posters, hats, t-shirts and other items to raise money in order to help snipers bravely serving overseas. New for 2014, they have announced the debut of their Crusader coin, which have proven to be extremely popular and is currently sold out.
Also new for 2014 is a Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield Memorial Patch. Chris Kyle was a United States Navy SEAL with 160 confirmed kills, and author of the New York Times bestselling autobiography “American Sniper.” On Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, Kyle and his friend, Chad Littlefield, were shot and killed at the Rough Creek Ranch Lodge & Resort in Glen Rose, Texas, by a former Marine allegedly suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
The Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield Memorial Patch is 3 1/4″ wide x 2″ long, and comes in three separate color options: red, green and tan. The patches cost $10. All proceeds from the sale of the patches will go to the families of Kyle and Littlefield.
