During the day the WOMA treated the ladies to a plethora of firearms provided by Smith & Wesson, Rock Island Armory, Colt and Thompson Center. World shooting sports champion Athena Lee, Olympians Lanny and Tracy Barnes, plus other skilled instructors, worked one on one with each participant giving the women hands-on experience plus excellent shooting tips with each firearm.
Team Never Quit Ammo was introduced to the women during the event and for most women it was their first time training with frangible ammo versus traditional ammo. Said Col. Laura Torres-Reyes, M.D., “This event was a tremendous opportunity to connect with a group of phenomenal women from all aspects of the shooting community. Whether an Olympic champion, a competition shooter, or a mom who wants to learn about firearm safety, we are all one in our passion for expressing our second amendment rights!”
