New for 2014, Trijicon has unveiled the new Variable Combat Optical Gunsight, or VCOG. They are also offering Cerakote coating on a number of their optics. Scroll down to watch a video showcasing these new products.
The Trijicon VCOG is a variable powered riflescope with a Bullet Drop Compensator (BDC). It has a 1-6x24mm range and works with one AA battery which will provide roughly 700 hours of illumination. Additionally, the VCOG has a field of view of 95 – 15.9 ft. at 100 yards (31.7 – 5.3m @ 100m) and elevation adjustment in 1/2 in./click increments at 100 m.
Additionally, Trijicon has made available Sniper Gray, OD Green and Flat Dark Earth (FDE) cerakote finishes on select ACOG, Reflex and RMR models. Cerakote is a ceramic-based finish which can be applied on metal, plastic, polymer and wood surfaces.
