Springfield Armory recently announced the newest addition to its rifle line, the M-LOK Saint. Chambered in 5.56mm NATO, the Springfield Armory M-LOK Saint rifles now include slim, modular handguards from Bravo Company. Along with M-LOK technology, the handguards include internal aluminum heat shields.

The Saint rifles now come in two configurations. One model features a pinned, Picatinny railed gas block and includes an SA low-profile, flip-up sight. Meanwhile, the other model comes with an A2-style front sight and pinned gas block. Each M-LOK compatible Saint model includes a low-profile, dual aperture flip-up rear sight with 1/2-minute of angle windage adjustments.
The heart of the Saint platform resides in the M16 bolt carrier group, according to Springfield Armory. It features a Carpenter 158 steel bolt that has been shot-peened and magnetic particle tested. The 16-inch barrel is made of chrome moly vanadium and Melonite coated inside and out for corrosion resistance. The 1:8-inch twist rate barrel stabilizes a broad range of ammunition types and projectile lengths. The rifles weight a mere 6.11 ounces.
The Saint family of rifles feature an upgraded trigger. The nickel boron-coated GI single-stage trigger operates smoothly and proves a clean, grit-free pull, according to Springfield Armory. The M-LOK compatible Saints also utilize a mid-length gas system with an “H” heavy tungsten buffer. The buffer mitigates snappy recoil and ensures a smooth, accurate, comfortable shooting experience. The Accu-Tite tension system provides a tight, wobble-free fit between the upper and lower receivers. Meanwhile, each receiver utilizes Type III hard anodized aircraft-grade 7075 T6 aluminum construction.
Bravo Company outfits the M-LOK compatible Saint rifles with furniture, including the upgraded BCM Gunfighter stock. The rifles also include the Mod 3 pistol grip and BCM trigger guard. A 30-round Magpul PMAG also comes with the rifle.
