The highly anticipated Spartan-Harsey Fighter is the latest collaboration between the Spartan Blades brain trust and Bill Harsey.
The Spartan Blades Spartan-Harsey Fighter
Part of its Pineland Cutlery line, the Spartan-Harsey Fighter is in Spartan’s Silver line. Pineland Cutlery is a collaboration between Spartan Blades and Ka-Bar—manufactured by Ka-Bar—for more affordable offerings. However, in the case of Pineland Cutlery, affordable cannot be confused with cheap.
Designed by renowned knife designer Bill Harsey, the Fighter features a full tang design measuring an overall length of 11.5 inches. The 6.125-inch blade features a clip point design, with a prominent swedge for maximum penetration strength. The high flat grind meets up with a deep fuller giving the Fighter a classic military fighting knife aesthetic.
Constructed of 1095 Cro-Van it provides excellent toughness and durability with solid edge retention capabilities. However, it is also field serviceable, should you need to touch up your edge away from home. The blade has a black powder coat from tip to butt to help resist rust and wear to the steel.
The grip is very Spartan-esque, with incredible ergonomics for comfortable use during extended periods. Likewise, the textured black injection molded handle scales ensure a solid purchase during use—wet or dry.
The injection molded sheath is the same quality you would expect from any Spartan Blade and is rugged and durable. Affixed to the sheath is a nylon webbing belt loop with an active retention thumb lever for secure carry.
