The Ruger Security-380 Lite Rack Pistol

Constructed around a rigid, precision-machined, hard-coat anodized aluminum chassis, the Security-380 is as durable as it is easy to carry. Likewise, a blued, through-hardened alloy steel slide and barrel add to the aesthetics and offer long life. Similarly, lightening windows on the slide help to reduce the weight of the slide itself. The combination of light build and slim profile makes the Lite Rack Pistol ideal for concealed carry.

The lightweight slide rides on full-length guide rails and features refined cocking serrations and pronounced cocking ears. Similarly, a lighter recoil spring helps to ensure easy manipulation for any strength level. Atop the slide is a drift-adjustable steel rear sight with a vertical ledge coupled with a bright fiber-optic front sight.

Ensuring safe operation, the Security-380 features Ruger’s Secure Action fire-control system and a variety of safety features. Specifically, integrated trigger safety, external manual safety, and neutrally balanced sear with significant engagement and strong spring tension. Likewise, a hammer catch helps prevent the hammer from contacting the firing pin unless the trigger is pulled.

Chambered in .380, the Lite Rack Pistol features a short, smooth trigger pull with a clean break and positive reset.

Based on the Ruger Security-9, the 380 is compatible with most of the same holsters, lights, lasers, and accessories. It ships with both a 10- and 15-round magazine that extends the grip for a more secure and comfortable hold. Likewise, the textured grip fills the hand and assists in recoil distribution for recoil-sensitive shooters.
