At the end of September, we hosted the 2020 Athlon Outdoors Rendezvous. Its the fourth annual event of its kind where we have 30 manufacturers our to a private range for three days of shooting. As we walked from station to station on the last day of the 2020 event, something stopped us dead in our tracks at the Magnum Research booth. We looked at Magnum Research rep and asked, “Is that what we think it is?” Her answer: “Oh, the Punisher Trump Desert Eagle?”
That was we needed to hear. We grabbed it and started shooting.
Punisher Trump Desert Eagle Details
Magnum Research always does the Desert Eagle justice. Over the years, we’ve seen plenty of flashier Desert Eagle variants from Magnum Research, including the White Tiger model and the more recent engraved Presidential model. However, the all-new Punisher Trump model takes things to an entirely different level.
The standout feature on the new Eagle is obviously those Trump Punisher grips. Punisher grips are one of those novelty customizations some people enjoy and others find tacky. We don’t care what side of that fence you’re on. If you can’t admit that adding a Trump hairline to the mix isn’t incredible, then it’s your loss.
Outside of the grip, everything else on the new model is pretty much standard. It is available in .50 AE and features a stainless frame and slide, as well as a 6-inch barrel. It also comes with standard Hogue grips in the box.
Lastly is MSRP and how to get one. MSRP comes in at $2,455. Magnum Research also partnered with Palmetto State Armory on the launch, which just went live Thursday.
