Manufacturers take a lot into account when designing a rifle, but many lose sight of key components like quality and craftsmanship — but not Marlin Firearms.
New exclusively for 2014, Marlin Firearms has released its 336C Model in a limited edition. The limited edition is limited to approximately 2,000 rifles and is priced around $850.
The special limited edition 336C Model includes a 24-Carat gold Marlin Horse and Rider engraved on the left and scroll work on the right. The words “Limited Edition” are also stamped on the barrel.
The Marlin 336C Limited Edition features a gold-plated trigger and an eye-catching, B Grade walnut stock with fleur-de-lis checkering.
Featuring a 20-inch barrel with Micro-Groove rifling (12 grooves), richly blued finish and 30-30 Win. or 35 Rem. chambering, Marlin says that the 336C Limited Edition is a timeless embodiment of dependability, accuracy and handsome looks.
The Marlin 336C Limited Edition holds a six-shot tubular magazine. It is a lever action rifle with side ejection.
The rifle also features a solid-top receiver, deeply blued metal surfaces and a hammer block safety.
The stock of the Marlin 336C Limited Edition is an American black walnut pistol grip stock with a fluted comb. The stock also features cut checkering, a rubber rifle butt pad, tough Mar-Shield finish and a blued steel barrel band with integral swivel stud.
An adjustable semi-buckhorn folding rear sight, ramp front sight with brass bead and Wide-Scan hood top off the Marlin 336C Limited Edition. It includes a solid-top receiver tapped for a scope mount and an offset hammer spur (right or left hand) for scope use.
The Marlin 336C Limited Edition is 38.5 inches in length and weights 7 pounds.
Also available, the Marlin Model 336SS is constructed primarily of stainless steel for corrosion-resistance and long-term durability.
