Team ITI G4S International Training Inc., which is a subsidiary of G4S Government Solutions, announced that team ITI member Laura Torres-Reyes has won “High Lady” at the Illinois IDPA Championship. The match was held on June 1 at the World Shooting and Recreational Complex in Sparta, Illinois.
“The stages contained a variety of challenges for every skill level,” Torres-Reyes said about the match. “It required the discipline to match distance and target area with the proper site picture. Thanks to Jeff Duckworth and his tireless staff for ensuring the success of the event! I’d like to thank G4S ITI, Atlanta Arms and Ammo, Comp-Tac, 5.11 Tactical, Rudy Project Field Team, and the US Air Force.”
According to the press release, Torres-Reyes began shooting at the age of 46 after her retired Marine Corps husband taught her the basics of handling a firearm safely. Before joining Team ITI, she she was a member of Team Smith & Wesson for two years. Colonel Torres-Reyes is a Bronze Star and Legion of Merit recipient. She is Active Duty Air Force physician currently stationed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. She competes in IDPA as an SSP EX and USPSA Production C class and has earned over forty High Lady and High Military State / Regional Championship titles.
