“Our company couldn’t be prouder of the performances of our sponsored team of world class shooters at the Olympic games,” stated Jason Vanderbrink, President of Federal Ammunition. “They competed at the highest level against the world’s best shotgun shooters and were simply amazing. It brings such pride to our dedicated American employees that these athletes achieved their dreams of standing on the podium with an Olympic medal having used our American made products.”
Hancock became a three-time Olympic champion with his Tokyo gold medal. The former AMU shooter made the Men’s Skeet finals in a shoot-off. He bested five competitors, hitting 59 of 60 targets, setting an Olympic record. He becomes the first shooter to ever win three gold medals in Men’s Skeet. Previously, Hancock won gold in Beijing in 2008 and London in 2012.
Browning took a silver medal in Women’s Trap. The Arkansas native shot her way into the finals from the sixth position, climbing via a timely clutch performance. The first-time Olympian nearly extended the match, but nevertheless won her first Olympic medal.
In another Olympic debut, Burrows and teammate Madelynn Bernau claimed bronze in Mixed Trap. The pair qualified via a 146/150 in qualifications. In the bronze medal match, they knocked off a solid team from Slovakia, including the Women’s Trap gold medalist. The team won the match in a dramatic shoot-off to claim the bronze.
