We love sex in the morning. It smells like … victory. It’s a known fact that a cup of coffee can give you a good caffeine jolt and get the blood pumping so you can rise to the occasion, but that coffee breath can really put a damper on the mood. Try switching to green tea.
Tea contains caffeine, but also has a proven list of extra positive side effects. These include weight loss, additional antioxidants (to help reduce cancer risk), reduced inflammation and better breath. The powdered form of green tea called Matcha contains just as much caffeine! It can be mixed into your favorite dishes, as well. Green tea also contains L-theanine, which may also increase dopamine production, thereby increasing mood. L-theanine has also been linked to increased libido. Researchers at UC Berkeley advise that there are proven health benefits to the consumption of green tea; however, some marketing claims may not be accurate. “The pleasurable effects produced by the synergy of L-theanine, caffeine, and other compounds naturally in tea have stood the test of time.” So skip the blue V and pick up some green T.
Of course if that doesn’t work, you could skip the romantic evening and go out drinking instead! There’s an old adage that says, “You can’t drink all day if you don’t start in the morning.” For our complete list of day drinking rules, click here!
