Davidson’s and Diamondback made a big announcement recently, detailing the release of an exclusive new version of one sweet large-format pistol. The Diamondback DBX in 5.7x28mm now comes in an awesome Dark Earth Cerakote finish, available exclusively from Davidson’s.

The DBX, first released in 2020, chambers the 5.7 cartridge, riding high since the debut of several new arms chambering the round, including models from Ruger and CMMG. The DBX utilizes several parts compatible with the AR-15, including drop-in triggers, safety selectors and grips. This constitutes a smart design feature, capitalizing on the largest cottage accessory industry within firearms.

Now in Dark Earth, this exclusive DBX features a reciprocating, reversible side-charging handle. The flash hider, designed and machined by Diamondback, comes original to this variant. A monolithic upper pairs with a full-length Picatinny rail. Featuring no breaks, the uninterrupted rail eliminates alignment issues common to multi-piece rails, according to Diamondback.
The operating system utilizes a locked-breech, rotating bolt-head design. It runs via a dual-piston gas system, for clean, reliable operation. Additionally, it delivers less gas block-back to the shooter’s face, especially using suppressors. The gas block comes with a four-position design. It enables tuning to specific ammo weights and/or suppressor use. Finally, the bolt-catch system ensures a last round hold-open.
