The White House dropped a big anti-gun bomb Wednesday, its shockwaves sure to be felt for some time to come. President Joe Biden announced six initial actions — including action against pistol braces — in his continued assault on the Second Amendment. Arguably none looms more devastating than his Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms Director choice. Biden plans to nominate gun control advocate David Chipman to serve as Director of the ATF.

Biden to Nominate David Chipman to Head ATF
Chipman is a former ATF Special Agent. Even if you don’t think you know Chipman, you probably do. He’s grabbed headlines for years. He’s written op-eds and crying for gun control, penning pieces for the likes of Everytown for Gun Safety and Giffords.
“As a former ATF special agent with more than 24 years of experience at the bureau, I know all too well how serious our gun violence problem is and how desperately the agency lacks for the law enfrocement tools that are necessary to help curb this national epidemic,” Champan wrote in Politico in 2013.
Chipman holds a healthy disdain for American gun owners as well. Last year when Americans turned to buying guns as fears mounted, he said they were “putting themselves and their families in danger.” He advised gun owners to “secure that gun locked and unloaded and hide it behind the cans of tuna and beef jerky that you’ve stored in a cabinet and only bring that out if the zombies start to appear …”
So for all of you — all of us — who bought guns over the last year, Chipman clearly doesn’t hold you in the highest regard. This, however, is the guy Biden wants to lead the charge for the ATF.
What to Expect
“The President will nominate David Chipman to serve as Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms,” said a White House statement. “ATF is the key agency enforcing our gun laws, and it needs a confirmed director in order to do the job to the best of its ability. But ATF has not had a confirmed director since 2015. Chipman served at ATF for 25 years and now works to advance commonsense gun safety laws.”
The Biden administration continues to attack the Second Amendment at every conceivable level. His chronies introduce anti-gun bills in both the House and Senate. Meanwhile, the president circumvents law with executive decree. Now an admitted anti-gun advocate will head the ATF. Is there end in sight for this incredible attack on 2A rights?
