UPDATED: CZ 600 Series Adds Competition-Ready Range Rifle

CZ-USA continues its development of its impressive 600 Series of rifles. Now the company adds a model built for competitors, the 600 Range Rifle. The Range brings competition-ready features into its design, built to hold accuracy at long-range distances.

CZ 600 Series Adds Range Rifle

The 600 Range comes with an incredible five-shot, sub-3/4-MOA accuracy guarantee! Now that’s keeping shooters in the black. It also raises the bar for production rifle accuracy standards, giving shooters a true out-of-the-box competition gun without spending custom prices.

The 600 Range starts with a heavy, cold-hammer-forged barrel. It comes threaded and suppressor-ready and measures 24 inches long. Chambered in either 6mm Creedmoor or .308 Win., it should help squeeze all the velocity potential out of either. The rifle also sports a 60-degree bolt throw, steel receiver, and detachable magazine. A butthook-style stock features QD sockets on each side and a Pic rail for monopod mounting. It also features an adjustable cheek piece for true fit.

The competition shooters around here are pretty excited to see the Range. We hope to get on on the firing line soon for a full review.

The new 600 series from CZ offers four rifle options in three disciplines, rounding out every shooters dream safe.

CZ 600 Alpha

Designed as a well-rounded hunting option, the Alpha is a sub-MOA rifle providing tight shot placement. A lightweight aluminum receiver, coupled with a semi-heavy barrel, keeps you from being weighed down on the hunt. Additionally, the Alpha was designed to be tolerant to a wide variety of loads. These loads include 223 REM, 224 Valkyrie, 7.62×39, 308 WIN, 6CM, 6.5 CM, 6.5 PRC, 30-06, 300 WIN MAG.

The barrel rests in a black, fiber-reinforced stock featuring a parallel comb, symmetrical geometry and vertical grip. In addition, to assist in positive engagement, serrated soft-touch inserts are located in multiple grip zones. Finally, providing endless optic choices to the user, 2-slot and 3-slot integral picatinny rails ride atop the barrel.

CZ 600 Lux

Featuring a traditional hunting rifle style, the Lux is the more classic of the 600 series. Building on a Turkish Walnut stock, the Lux is a slightly heavier option. The geometry of the Bavarian-style comb additionally allows for use with both optics and the equipped fiber-optic iron sights. Furthermore, the steel receiver is drilled and tapped to allow for Remington 700 pattern bases.

Fish-scale checkering and decorative forend not only complete the look but also aid in overall retention, in inclement conditions. Finally, as with the Alpha, the Lux comes with a sub-MOA guarantee.

CZ 600 Range

Designed with benchrest shooting in mind, the Range leaves no stone unturned. The Laminate stock features QD sockets on each side, for well-rounded carry options. Additionally, a tool free adjustable check piece ensures a consistent positive sight picture, regardless of optic. A pic rail on the bottom of the stock also allows for monopod mounting, while the butthook provides additional stability.

A cold hammer forged heavy barrel, coupled with the competition stock provide sub ¾ MOA at 100 meters. To demonstrate, CZ verifies this with 5 shot groups, with match-grade factory ammo on every 600 Range they make.

CZ 600 Trail

Building out from a PDW-style stock, the 600 Trail is a light compact rifle, ready for adventure. Chambered in .223 REM and 7.62×39 the Trail accepts any .223 magazine while also accepting the CZ Bren 2 magazines in 7.62×39. In addition, ambidextrous magazine release and safety levers are ready for both right-and left-hand shooters. Finally, the PDW-style stock deploys quickly and collapses to a very compact overall length, for easier travel.
