A pair of Connecticut homeowners thwarted a 15-year-old armed home invader by holding him at gunpoint until police arrived.
According to FOX CT, Kevin Dennis, 29, and his brother, Rich Dennis, 32, were at home in New London, CT just after 3 a.m. when Rich discovered an intruder in one of the bedrooms of the home.
Rich yelled for Kevin, telling him there was a man in the house with a gun.
As FOX CT reports, Kevin — a Navy veteran who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan — grabbed his gun and ran downstairs to find Rich fighting with the suspect. Kevin pointed his gun at the intruder, telling him to drop the gun. The suspect dropped his weapon, and began crying while asking the brothers to call the police, saying he was peer pressured into breaking into the home.
Police arrived and arrested the suspect. He is being held in a juvenile detention center and has been charged with home invasion, first degree burglary, assault in the second degree with a firearm, threatening and carrying a pistol without a permit.
Rich sustained minor injuries during the incident.
