Online concealed carry permit applications will be accepted by the Scott County Sheriff’s Department in Illinois.
Illinois residents will have 24 hours a day, 7 days a week access to apply online, and they will be charged an applicable $4.00 convenience fee for applying online.
A kiosk will be set up at the Scott County Sheriff’s office to facilitate applications for residents who do not have access to a computer. Paper applications will no longer be accepted.
After applying, residents will receive an e-mail or phone call notifying them if they have been approved, denied, or if they need to provide more information.
Once approved, applicants will need to appear in person at the Sheriff’s Office with valid I.D. and proof of training.
