Armed Clerk Shoots At Armed Robbers In Cali Convenience Store

An armed clerk managed to turn the tables on a trio of armed robbers in Anaheim, shooting at the men as they fled the store.

Surveillance footage — which can be seen below — shows the three suspects armed with handguns walking into Calimex Market last Friday. Two of the robbers subdued two of the clerks working behind the counter, while a third suspect held another clerk at gunpoint at the opposite end of the store.

“They obtained an undetermined about of cash and fled,” Anaheim police Sgt. Brian Paqua told the Orange County Register.

As the men ran from the store, the third clerk who was being held ran back behind the counter, grabbed a gun, went to the door and began firing.

The Orange County Register says the rear window of the getaway car was shattered. It’s not currently known if any of the suspects were shot.
