From the “Who Is America?” fallout to 3D-printed guns, We Like Shooting marches forward through a hotbed of controversy.
The cast for episode No. 258 includes Shawn Herrin, Aaron Krieger, Savage1r, Jeremy Pozderac and Nick Lynch.
The guest for episode No. 258 was Dave Famiglietti of New Frontier Armory.
Take the time to listen to Famiglietti’s segment. He has some great insight to smaller business owners in the firearms industry. Not to mention, the New Frontier Armory operation and product lineup is interesting in its own right.
The 3D-Printed Guns Debate
For those unfamiliar with the story, a few weeks ago the Department of Justice dropped the suit against Cody Wilson of Defense Distributed; that allowed him to make his 3D-printed gun files available the general public beginning on Aug.1.
The evening before Aug. 1, according to Wired, “a federal judge granted a temporary nationwide injunction against Defense Distributed, prohibiting it from making its designs available online. Several hours after the ruling, Defense Distributed founder Cody Wilson has finally complied.”
That is currently where the situation is. The We Like Shooting crew discussed this prior to the injunction, but the debate is about as intriguing as it gets.
Go to the 1:31:30 mark if you want to skip ahead to the 3D-printed guns story.
